10th January, 2013, Kolkata: MK Narayanan, the Governor of West Bengal, has again stated his concern regarding the ongoing political violence in West Bengal. In a recent incident Abdur Rejjak Mollah, the former land and land reforms minister, was attacked which CPM claimed to be done by TMC carders.
On Wednesday, at the sidelines of a literary meet at the Victoria Memorial in Kolkata, the West Bengal Governor told that a king of hooliganism is going across West Bengal. The previous 2 – 3 days have been disturbing and distressing.
Narayanan added that the kind of violence taking place in West Bengal is not acceptable. It the administration’s responsibility to make sure that law and order in maintained and proper action is taken against those who are responsible. Police have to be impartial. It is difficult for a state like West Bengal to accept all these things.
